These terms apply when you download or use DotaCompanion, an app made by Raybits. By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Using the app
DotaCompanion is a free reference and companion app for Dota 2. You may use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't:
- Reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app;
- Scrape, overload, or attempt to disrupt the app's servers or API;
- Use the app in any way that breaks the law.
Pro Tools purchase
Pro Tools is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks extra features and removes ads. It is not a subscription. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and refunds are handled under their refund policies.
Your purchase is tied to your store account and can be restored from the app. Because the app has no login, Pro status is also linked to your device's anonymous identifier.
Game data & third-party content
Hero, item, patch, and esports information comes from public sources including OpenDota, Valve's Dota 2 data feed, Liquipedia, and Twitch. We do our best to keep it accurate and up to date, but we can't guarantee it's always complete or correct.
Live streams and chat are provided by Twitch and are subject to Twitch's own terms. We don't control or moderate content on Twitch.
Ads
The free version of the app shows ads served by Google AdMob. We aren't responsible for the content of third-party ads or the sites they link to.
Trademarks
DotaCompanion is an independent, unofficial fan application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation. Dota 2 and related trademarks and game assets are property of Valve Corporation.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Raybits isn't liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Changes
We may update the app or these terms from time to time. When the terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
